NOT LAUNCHABLE. Placeholder text. These are not terms of service. Counsel-reviewed content has to replace everything below before launch.
Placeholder. What follows is a description of how the product behaves, written so counsel has the facts. It is not a contract and creates no obligations.
How the product behaves
- Emails to coaches are sent by the athlete, from the athlete’s own mailbox. LaunchPoint never sends mail to a coach.
- A parent account can see everything and send nothing.
- Outreach is capped at 8 emails a week in season and 12 out of season. Once the week’s count reaches the cap, the app refuses a first email to a new school until the week turns over on Monday, Pacific time; nothing is held or sent later. A follow-up to a school already contacted still goes.
- One email can go to up to four coaches at the same school, and the same email cannot then be sent again to a different coach.
- The app makes no promise about coach replies, offers, or outcomes, and no service honestly can.
- Recruiting rules information is expectation-setting, not compliance advice, and it never blocks a send.
- The program directory is a dated snapshot from public sources, not a maintained feed.
- Coach email addresses an athlete finds themselves are never presented as verified.
Open questions for counsel
- How the free tier relates to the paid advisory engagement, and what the free tier is and is not entitled to.
- Whether anything here needs to reference the advisory agreement, and what happens to the app account when an engagement ends.
- Acceptable use: what happens if an athlete uses the app to send something abusive from their own mailbox.
- Whether NCAA-adjacent language needs a specific disclaimer of the kind counsel would recognise.
